How to model real objects to scale?


So I’ve done a tutorial on modelling from blueprints but I’d like to know the best method for modelling my motorbike parts but very accurately. My YouTube searches are bringing up unrelated info, so can anyone please help me with any tutorials on how to model real objects into C4D manually (unless you know another method for under $100.

My next project is a Fireblade motorcycle swingarm with lots of geometry which I know how to measure correctly with my engineering tools. I think I just need to see a tutorial on the best way to go about recording measurements and inputting them into C4D in the right order. Their must be such tutorials because I’ve seen lots of architecture and products rendered in C4D.
