How to make Static joints in animation ?



I have created walk/run cycle animations using motion files.

I want to edit the character animation so it walk/run with his arms static at a position , for example as he is holding a gun or holding an object while running/walking.

How can i do that ? Any hints ?



You can always turn the shoulder controls in to IK (rotation only, not translation) You might also wanna pin the rotation so any edits in fullbody mode won’t affect the arms.

When you do any kind of edit it won’t affect the arm unless you move something far off the position he is in. Is that what you’re looking for? If you want it super static you can always create auxiliary effectors and parent them to the body or keep them in the world.
