It looks to be a collection of all sorts of things. I’ll try name a few I recognise and leave the research up to you!

[ul]
[li]0:15 Stretchy IK Spline[/li][li]0:28 Set Driven Keys, built with nodes or an expression to roll up the tentacle. My guess is expressions + nodes as he can define how tight it gets.[/li][li]0:44 Expression driven animation. Example: Make a polycube and add this expression: pCube1.translateY = sin(time). Press play and watch your cube float.[/li][li]1:00 Attributes driving various variables that alter the expression sin(time). Remember doing graphs back when you were at school? It’s that stuff all over again but with each tentacle control being offset to make the wave travel downwards.[/li][li]1:40 Could be driving the twist attribute on a wire deformer, or the IK chain…? Not too sure on this one, lots of ways to do it.[/li][li]1:50 FK switch + wire deformer for secondary bend.[/li][li]2:28 Constrain weights that ramp down through the tentacle controls to create the fall off effect.[/li][li]2:35 …andddddd the rest is probably just careful weight painting and SDK driven stuff (the mouth, etc).[/li][/ul]

Phew! This is all just guesswork though as I’m only going from experience with seeing similar movements on rigs that I have worked on.
