How to extract faces to a single new object?


How to extract faces from object to new a SINGLE object, but without splitting every sub-object into new object. Which cause me to select nearly everything back and combine, every, single, time.

Duplicate the object select the faces. Invert the selection with shift drag and delete.


get this script,
99% of the time when i use the duplicate face i don’t want it to screw up my node network. I even completely replaced the native duplicate face command with this one in the maya marking menu.
