How to deal with someone who stole part of your work?

I stumbled upon a 3D Still posted on CGtalk recently by someone I went to school with recently. It didn’t take long for me to recognize some of my models in his scene (different texture). I consulted with some of my coworkers and friends who confirmed that I wasn’t crazy and the meshes were indeed my own and some of other people from school.

I wouldn’t have minded if he would have asked me to have a copy of my 3Ds Max files purely for learning purposes and references. Unfortunately he got it without my consent and actually used part of my material (and someone else from school) for his work.

So what would be the best way to deal with this? I thought of calling him out in his thread with visual proof but I think that would have just made things worse. So should I let this slide (I don’t really want to) or report this to CGTalk, and if so how do you report plagiarism.
