I assume you mean exporting an image rendered via the built-in OGL renderer? If so, you’ll need to select the image in the outliner (Window->Outliner), right-click and hit “Export…”
One caveat, though. If you’re using a recent build (I forget when this was introduced), the rendered image is named “<<Rendered>>”. You’ll need to rename that to remove the “<<” and “>>” from the name before selecting “Export”. If you don’t do this, the export dialogue will never come up. Once you’ve renamed, and the dialogue is up, you can then decide where to save, and what to name the file (defaults to the image name in the Outliner).
