Hello-
I’m trying to make a large body of water:

The basic ripple is made with a deformation, then there’s a bump map for the secondary ripples, then there’s the Crumple shader applied on top of that. My questions are:

Is there any way to soften the edges of the Crumple? The foreground is looking sort of crystalline.

I added the Crumple shader as a bump map, but nothing happened, so I added it as a diffuse map and it affected the bump channel. Is this just the way it works?

If it’s not easily possible to soften the edges, is there a way to render out the Crumple effect as a greyscale image (so I could blur it in Photoshop and re-apply it as a bump map?)
