Houdini to Maya

Hi,

New to Houdini. I modeled a simple bridge in Maya, brought it to houdini and gave it a make break node and all the others it needed. I brought it back to maya via alembic cache > import alembic and everything is fine but as soon as it breaks the part of the bridge becomes transparent. Also the break I made in houdini is now completely different in Maya. Anyone know why this is happening?

It would be good to know more. What you are describing seems normal and is one way to go. So it should work. I just tested it out my self. Object created in maya, import in Houdini, fracture and sim, export as alembic and import it to maya. All works fine.
Look at my attachment if needed. All you have to do is save the alembic again(since it was too big for uploading) and reload the alembic file in the provided maya scene.
