Houdini/Mantra Rendering Service Beta Test

Hi everyone,

I work for Gridmarkets, a sharing economy company that harnesses the power of the world’s idle computers to render jobs for VFX artists and studios.

A few weeks ago during Siggraph 2015, Side Effects and GridMarkets announced the availability of a Houdini/Mantra rendering service that seamlessly launches from within the Houdini interface and supports dependencies, file caching and simulations.

Hello everyone,

We have incorporated a lot of valuable feedback from the beta testing community and the result is out now: Version 1.0.14 of the Houdini plugin is available and ready for use. It supports $JOB, Takes, Fetch ROPS, improved batch ROP, error handling, FTP upload; see http://gridmarkets.com/whats-new for more info. Hi everyone,

We just released GridMarkets’ new video tutorial - it show you how to create and start using a GridMarkets account to render Houdini jobs: http://www.gridmarkets.com/sign-up.htm.

If you haven’t done so yet, I encourage you to run a trial render of our beta platform and provide us with some feedback on how useful the service is.
