I (for some unexplained reason) cannot log onto the development board for Wings, but have found a bug in the software that can really #$#%@ you over if you are not aware of the problem.
Basically, spotlights cannot be hidden and then saved. I found this bug through (funnily enough) the auto-save feature. Whenever I was working on one part of the model (having hidden everything else) and the autosave kicked in - the app closed without warning. This was due to the fact that I added multiple spotlights for “preview renders” which were also hidden from view through the “Hide Unselected” menu option. Testing this theory by trying to manually save the file while the spotlights were visible/hidden proved the problem.
If anyone can relay this information onto the developers - I think many other users would appreciate it greatly. Until it is fixed - this is a warning not to hide your spotlights while autosave is enabled (manual saving, while it won’t work, doesn’t crash your app and lose your work)
