Thank you very much Jost
I’m glad you like my model.
I dont think I can give you much advice on how to get started in Blender, I started using it by necessity. For a work I needed to submit the models in either Truespace or RWX format. Converting from Maya didnt work with the tools I had available. I also attempted to do the modelling in Truespace (the first modelling software I used) but couldnt get around the interface and it’s modelling method anymore.
So Blender was the remaining choice, it feels close enough to Maya (and in 2.5+ more so as you can choose a Maya interface profile which emulates Maya’s mouse navigation method), and could export in one of the required formats I needed.
Also, I do mostly poly and sub-surf modelling, never did any spline modelling (other than some pipes and stuff that can’t be done effectivelly otherwise)
Today’s update, finished with the plane:

After thinking a lot about what scene to do for the diorama, I decided to do the plane inside the Picollo workshop/factory, the night before the flight.
Porco’s plane is already finished, but theres a lot of ladders, fuel barrels, oil cans etc, around it.
