Looking forward to your first wip shots! Best of luck!
Cheers!
hey…good luck…I wanted to make the same scene, before I discovered the Anton Ego…have fun
Thansk guys.
Felix: Your wish is my command. And best of luck to you as well my friend.
MGC: I’m glad you chose Anton Ego, not because I care if we do the same or not, but because your thread is awesome and you’re doing a great job on him so far.
First WIP image here. Working on props. Freestyling from references.

Thank you so much for the encouragement my friends
Here is my Mike Wazowski basemesh. Still needs horns and accessories. Not sure yet if I’ll take him into zbrush or if I’ll model Sully’s base first. I’ll keep it a surprise!

Looks like you’re on top of everything here, Joel!
Small crit: I’d pull the shoulders down a bit. I might be wrong, but on your reference image it looks like the top of the shoulders pretty much line up with the bottom of the eye.
Cheers!
Thanks Felix and good eye!
I rotated him forward some degrees, which brought the arms farther up and I never thought of fixing them. Glad you caught it as it would probably give me headaches in ZB trying to figure out wtf lol.

Ok so as per Felix’s suggestion I took the arms down. I also took the time to push the base mesh a little further, retopologized a little, and added his horns and hat. It’s just sitting on his head for now and his horns are poking through but it is temporary until he is posed and whatnot. He still needs claws on his hands but that will also come after the pose.
Any other crits and comments, ofc, are completely welcome.

Now…To take him into ZB or to start Sully’s zsphere base? Ahh, these choices are rough…

I was half way through your thread and my son asked, “Why did he make a door?” I scrolled a little further and I hear, “Mike Wazowski!”
You got his approval.
