HMC 30: Classic Move Poster : Shoulder Arms

#1

OK this one’s too good to pass up and I haven’t done a HMC in a while…

there’s nothing like a good movie… Charlie Chaplin’s my choice and I love this one because of all the silly gear he’s put on himself - it’s a funny one too… [the tree stunt for one]

here’s the poster… luckily there’s also quite a few pics out there to go on

cheers and have fun everyone.

Lots of details =P

Good luck

indeed but should at least keep it interesting :)… I’m working on the base meshes at the mo…should be posting stuff during the week

#4

ok here’s some refs I’m using…

here’s the basic blockin’ of the body… I’ll try to nail the general silhouette first and then place the rest of the objects on him…will be easier than the other way round… I know he doesn’t look much like him yet hehe - hopefully he will in time…

uhhh…being a major Chaplin fan, I’m keeping my eyes on this one! :buttrock:

Looking good already Magdalena!

Nice choice Magda. Forms are looking great so far.

I love the nik-naks all over him. Looks like a walking 30 models in 30 days challenge.

Head and neck looks a little thick compared to the photo of him in costume but closer to the pic at the bottom right. He must be skinnier in the film. Great start.

“Maggie the Magician.” The greatest of all times. Let my my eager eyes follow your magic!

With deep regards

Suscribed, actually he does look like him, nice poster!

And coinciding with his birthday month! Lovely. Oh, I really hope that I get used to my job and can do another of these. In the meantime, I look forward to watching your progress

Great poster you picked for the challenge. And knowing your skills I am sure it will be a super product you will sculpt. The start looks very promising for sure  Best of luck, regards Anders

thanks everyone for the kind words of encouragement… ok not much done I know but oh well… just placing some objects on the rough sketch before going back in Zbrush… eggbeater, cheese grater lol… next up a mousetrap :scream:
