i’ve been a busy bee for a few days and should have something more to show on monday or tuesday
EDIT: i’ve also decided on a pose, its simple but hopefully it’ll do the trick, here’s a little peak at what should be close to the final position for the head…
EDIT 2: i also felt the shader was lacking something and realised it was some variation in the skin colour…so i took care of that and am quite pleased with the results
a quick (not really…it took a few hours…lol) look at the new angle with hair…
is the hair perhaps too grey?
It looks pretty good, I think the hair is a bot off and I think it is because the specular highlight is to sharp, I would make it a tad more glossy so it fit’s in some more with overall softness, other than that great job
@mastone: completely agree with the hair being too sharp…to avoid having to re-render the hair I just touched up the latest image. I put a bit of colour into his hair and generally softened it as well. I think it’s helped it quite a bit…
Looks great! Think it just keeps getting better! Old Harrison in a young role- it’s classic! You planning on refining the clothing/boots? and scene- what are you planning to do, just him?
yeah once i pose him i’ll work on the clothes some more…
and as for the scene i think i’ll just have him by himself for this one, i had planned to do more but time kind of got away from me…so I’ll be going with the “Star Wars promo shot” look…
i do however have another image in mind for after the challenge where it’ll be Harrison and not Han, and that will have more of a background
okay here’s a first pass at the pose, no extra sculpting has been done, just everything put into place…hands haven’t been touched…
i also noticed i forgot to move part of his belt buckle so that looks a little weird…
Don’t forget the Corellian Bloodstripe! This looks awesome, by the way; I think you’ve done a fantastic job of aging Han Solo rather than just aging Harrison Ford.

i wasn’t happy with the framing of the render as the head was too small in it…and seeing as thats what I spent the most time on, I wanted it to be more visible
so I’m thinking this might do, I’ll be bending the right arm (his right) up and he’ll be holding his gun…
worked on the shirt…it’s a bit lumpy in places but i think it’s heading in the right direction…
update time, getting down to the business end now…

I think the neck is too short of the collar. Maybe short the collar or expend the neck, but keep it! lol
