#9

looks great, especially for a start

#10

Looking great already…

#11

Indeed, the likeness is there, way to go! Looking forward to see more
Best of luck!

#12

Thanks a lot everyone.

Roberto: I’ll definitely try to do them if I have the time.

Here is an update on the body. I have to retopologize it now.

#13

Fantastic, your clean work keep in eye!!!

#14

Great choice and amazing work

#15

Nice…I always love their bell bottomed pants in the future  Excellent likeness of Kirk!

#16

Been a while since my last update. I retopped the clothes and adjusted the form more. I made a phaser for Kirk. I’ll still be making a communicator and a tricorder, along with at least Spock. I will adjust Kirk’s appearance more after I pose him.

#17

Very good!
How do you keep the clothing seams /details the same size?
Everytime I sculpt a seam or detailing of any kind where I have to revolve around the model( like a sleeve) the detail either get’s bigger or smaller because the distance of the object to the camera changes in the proces.

#18

Thanks mastone.

Sculpting out of perspective should keep everything the same distance from the camera. All of the seems are just a dam standard brush and eyeballing it, though I don’t think I understand what you mean exactly. The command stripes near his wrists are separate objects that were modeled in maya.

#19

Scotty beam me up!

Nice sculpting. One of the best for now.

#20

Thanks Scote.

Here is an update. Communicator finished. I have Kirk posed, but I still need a bit of refinement on it. Update tomorrow.

#21

Here is Kirk posed with his accessories. We’ll see if I can get another character done.

#22

Trying to get Spock done. I’m going to pose him with his tricorder and rework all of the clothing.

#23

Just a quick tricorder.

#24

Mr. Spock ready for action.

#25

Awesome! Great job with these!

#26

Thanks a lot, japetus.

I made a base for them and brought them together for the final pose. I’ll take some more shots and comp it in photoshop. Maybe give it some color if I think it looks good enough. We’ll see.

#27

Good luck everyone. It’s been another great competition.
