HMC 22: Classic Self Portrait- Arun Nagar

#8

Tim has the right of it. The last challenge was leading up to a model that would be animated in some fashion so I was following the topology pretty closely. This challenge is making statues and paintings so whatever workflow works for you, I’d say go for it.

#9

Great start on your face base mesh, looks very accurate already. I think for this challenge making the topology best for zbrush would be most beneficial like stated above.

#10

Gud start !!

#11

Thanks guys to clear for me and for your support.

Here’s a update on face (for hair-style I used image with blue background)

and added Base mesh of body made by me and It’s inspired from crimson king’s base mesh-

Thanks and critiques are more then welcome.

#12

Very nice modeling. Only thing that really jumped out at me was the bottom of your nose seems very straight at the back of the nostrils. In your reference photo there is quite a bit more of a curve up to them. Keep up the awesome work.

#13

I like the face you’ve modeled - though it looks much more european than yours - it’s mainly in the nose and lip area. Your lips are wider than his… then again an interpretation’s good too  those curls should be fun

#14

#21

Yeah another nice entry
You have really good topology there …would be great to render it in some other app and add some scenery behind hehe …

#22

Very nice! the level of the entrys is amazing in general, and you fit well in the comp.

Cheers!

#23

Thanks guys
and Thanks Peter, now, I only know about zbrush and basic tools of maya modeling and lil bit photoshop. So I have no choice to go to other application. anyways I play more with layers in photoshop.
some minor changes in the render beauty-

and I try to make it bronze sculpture-

Thanks for your support guys and gals:)

#24

impressive finish in such a short time

#25

Thanks Intervain for such words.

Now I think I can leave it-

Thanks.

#26

sorry, now I can leave:rolleyes:
create a wall for BG, render and composite for good presentation, I hope…

waiting for next challenge:bounce:
By the way, When It’s gona be started?

#27

i have to say that background is not worthy of your model. your model is excellent but now it looks like you placed in the back alley behind a bar.
