Some more modeling (and more and then more and moreā¦)ā¦low poly + turbosmoothā¦
Iām just trying to have nice base for each part:)
Modeling that little kid will come last .

Not much time to work but i keep going !
update:

I want to add some kind of helmet like this :

or to make hair style like that (irokez style) - im more convinced to this ,because i dont want to
cover head

Ok so previous idea just looked wrong ,I will stick to normal hair then.

Few tests ,some progress here and there ,but really need to improve anatomy ,and start finishing things.
Im really unhappy that i cant spend much more time on it but its life:wip:
cheers !
Looking pretty good so far⦠damn that little baby is creepy!
Some critique: The fingers in the pointing hand arenāt in the right pose, they look like they are broken right now. Also the legs feel too small compared to the torso and arms. The cloth and armor look pretty good. Hopefully you can find some more time to work on it, should be a great piece once youāre finished!
Thanks for comment ,I will fix that soon

Got new problem - looks like i lost 1 subdiv lvl ā¦but its not big thingā¦
I will need to make great progress this week - finish legs,hands-uh. , head hair ,clothes ,child ā¦
one thing that jumps out at me is the general proportions of your model = the head is much too large now in comparison to the body - especially the legs, which look tiny [usually thereās about 6.5 - 7 heads in a normal human size [yours is about 5.5] and 8 in a heroic character. Try making the head smaller. Keep it coming
Ah you are right
as always hehe
i think i checked legs lenght with reference but they might not have enough āvolumeā or its becouse of head:/
thanks
Itās really getting somewhere.
Thing i noticed is that the statueās right ankle looks rather thin.
And the cloth around his waist does look rather thick.
We still got a few days to go.
Thanks
Yes cloth needs more loveā¦hand either .
Hardest thing for now was/is that little child ,i shouldāve modeled his head with symmetry then rotate ,but i didnāt ā¦
Now I need to get easier things done ,then come back to hardā¦
Im working on various parts ,armour is half ready ,now i need to photo-model clothing ,becouse there is quiet no time to do it manually.
I like this head but i think eye socket needs fixing⦠->

Cheers !
Here is small devil one ,head was most important ,tho he is too small to make him detailed ā¦
Of course im working on another parts too ,need to do few minor things and thats all.

What about time ? I wonder how much is it or its too late
?!
Thanks
there is a thread about how much time there is left.
I think you still have a little over 12 hours left.
GOGOGOGOGOGOGO
iām doing a rush myself
Thanks for encouragement lol I need it ā¦PC is dying at this stage (as always) ā¦I ended modeling few hours ago ,decimated(took time) ,imported to app( took some more time) and now trying to render it to look ok.
Iām so happy that i made it so far with not much time (studying took rest of my time) and still its better than what i made year ago for example
Few mistakes made ā¦like bad finger area topology ,weird proportions ā¦next time I would choose reference with less amount of ācheapā detail ,just for anatomy studyā¦
This kind of competition without prizes is great for learning without stress:)
I really need to finish it today ,otherwise I wonātā¦
Next time maybe i will try fx challange here on cgtalk =p
few test renders :

I agree
The time pressure still gives one a kick to work on it
Congrats on finishing :)![]()
Ye ,āfinishedā one
⦠i think i will fix errors on some weekend ā¦like in 3 weeks ahead i should have time lolā¦
Wires to post and sleepā¦

Congrats with the entry!
The cloth ended up much better in the end. It gives the whole thing so much more.
Great rendering too. But too many light materials plus GI gives rather overlighted scenes! Especially noticable in the shadows. To make your final render a bit more dynamic, you need some more contrast.
