HMC#20: Expressions - Tom the Friendly Troll

Yannes: Thank you! I always appreciate feedback, especially when it’s formulated as eloquently you just have. The heads are slightly tilted in all expressions, only very subtle. I plan to go over the head positions a bit more once I’ve touched all expressions, and have made sure I am able to finish this. Thanks again!

Hi Jelmer,

I was watching this little fella’ and couldn’t keep me not telling you how good this is.
i think this model is fantastic, your expressions are just great!
But there is a little thing that bothers me, i think you should play with the position of the head too. Like in your last update: the grin is perfect, but when you disgusted you turn your head a little sideways and tilt it back a bit. You want to get -from what disgust you- as far as you can.

I’m not sure it helps, at that level where you are you don’t really need my help…
and it could be a nice concept to have all the expressions in one head position, making the expressions believable just with the face. That could work too (and watching your stuff i’m sure it will work).

Thank youu I will work a bit more on shocked, not entirely happy with it… But for now, here’s a new version of the disgusted expression, where the head is tilted away a bit more from those disgusting spiders. Oh and Tom’s first encounter with a little white critter… sissy.

These are very nice, I would love to see a Morph set-up between the expressions from the base blank expression with a model of this quality. Waiting for the “contempt” and “drunk” expressions.
