waterlilly- that will depend on how the fur/hair thing works for me. if i can’t figure it out i will prob end up scuplting it.

a good start on the base mesh - if you’re going to be sculpting her, I suggest getting rid of the star in the middle of the face - perhaps run the edge to the eye… will be easier :slight_smile:

Been a while since i posted so heres an update. Been having trouble with the hair/fur so I am going with a sculpting approach now. My other problem is my lower poly needs to be reworked some losing her likeness from the higher poly head. Roughed out a texture but it still needs work as well.

This is the latest in zbrush

this update is where i am sitting at the moment. still a bit confused with what i am going to do with her hair. but I think the rest is getting there.

Marian- I don’t speak spanish besides a few words so took it to a translation site, got the general idea and thanks. I having some trouble with the model in maya, for whatever reason in that viewport shes not looking the same as the model in zbrush even in the same res.

I came to the conclusion I am not gonna make the deadline for the expressions, but still shooting for a really good model of rocio. With that thought going with more realistic looking hair. Maybe get some expressions done between this one and the next challenge.

Another update working with the hair some more, a render of it textured, now gotta optimize it so my comp stops crashing all the time. also added eyelashes and eyebrows

so my bash mesh in maya just hasn’t been looking right at all, so i went back and checked the landmarks on her and this is where i am at, a screeny from zbrush, and a test render in maya

so the likeness still wasn’t there for me. so i reworked the nose and lips and here is where i am one with hair one without. I think i may have finally got her down let me know what you think.

so I decided to at least get some basic sculpts in zbrush done for the challenge. so here are the first pass over for all of them.
