Thank you all for posting, its nice to have people posting the way you all do.
Brett, is the first time i do one of these studies, and i recommend that you give it it a try at least once,
i see it like they are the blueprint for topology, and we all know that blueprints makes things a lot faster and precise later on…and with the plus that you don’t have to think nothing because you did it earlier.
Joel, thanks, and the main thing about poles is that they cant be avoided, so like you say is a matter of where they are placed.
I always pay attention on the wireframes of good models…trying to get some kind of final conclusion. For what i see, i think that its more a matter of where not to place them than where to place them. Like in the example of that pole in the firts overpainting of this thread…isnt that bad there realy i think…but i just want to have such a deformable zone “pole free”, heeh.
So, no update yet, yesterday i worked in the topology mainly until late night, WITHOUT trying to make the model looks like Jack yet, but trying to get some deformable/coherent polys. Tonight back from work i’ll post some images of what i have so far, and some of the process too.
Before working any further in the mesh, i want to do that thing of the caricature…so i’ll make some for reference and use them as blueprints.
And, for those who have any expectation about this Jack model, thanks, and don’t have any!..ahah.
Cheers.
