hakanpersson, thanks for your feedback! I agree with you on all your points.

I have added a bit more mass and depth to the forehead and made the lip smoother. It was kinda wavy before. I still need to work on the hands some more as you were talking about. I tried to eliminate the dip that looked weird, but still need to beef up the tendons and maybe also make the veins more prominent.

Besides that I have added some more mass and form to the legs , tweaked the pose so the left arm doesn’t look as awkwardly bent, and put on a little more polypaint.

next:
hand stuff
little more polypaint
see what else I can do with how much time is left

These latest updates are looking really good. I think that your models legs are slightly bulkier than in the reference.

Great work though!

Thanks Steven! You’re right. In fixing up the form of the legs I bulked them up a bit too much. Tonight I scaled them back a bit.

Here’s how it looks now.

Tweaked some stuff that still looked funny from posing twists
Added more pronounced tendons to the hand
Added some polypaint, especially dirtying up the feet
Moved the shoulders up a little to be slouchier and added more transitional scuplting between ribcage to shoulders

Next I think I will clean up some things on the back and tail and then focus on getting some good final images for the challenge together. Of course if I get some good comments and critiques on other parts I’ll see what I can do about those too!

Little more work…

Most major thing is I decided to tweak the shoulders some more to try making them more bulbous like the maquette reference.

Touched up the back a bit but did a lot of that last night.

Need to refine the tail a bit more, especially the tip. The shoulders might get some more attention too.

After that I’ll get my final images together.
