Hi,

Well it seems appropriate that my first post here is to say hello to everyone… looking forward to getting know you all a lot better over the next few months.

I’m currently based in the centre of the UK, but hope to be relocating to London soon. I’ve been dabbling with various 3D and compositing packages for about a year now, but just recently I’ve been getting sucked in by Maya & Shake and I’ve made a promise to myself to finally get round to trying my hand at matte painting… the one thing which makes me constantly go “Wow…” when I look at other people’s work…

Janine - thanks… I’m beginning to realise it’s more a case of getting down the basics of “traditional” painting before I start bringing those over into Photoshop/Painter… think I’m on a long, learning path but if it wasn’t, then I guess it wouldn’t be worth doing :wink:
