Hi Mateja,
Interesting composite, though i think you’ve become slightly tied to the original plate, which is cool but over all i don’t think addresses the topic of the contest. Technically its working ok so far, a few minor perspective issues, check the perspective lines on the building to the right against the closer building. When you began working on the plate the first thing you should have done is lens corrected the plate to get all the lines straight, thats always a problem when extending from a close up shot. Same with the cars, for example the police car i imagine the original photography of this car was very close wide angel shot, which wont work when comped into a larger piece like this. But it passes up pretty well so no worries. The tree to the left looks a little out of place, cant quite see … its a CG tree right?
Get rid of the lower helicopter, doesnt work and out of scale.
The original exposure of the sky was more real, now you have issues with the new sky against the buildings, also that grey building to the back looks out of place, the angle.
Yeh nice solid work with potential, but ask yourself if it addresses the needs of the contest itself, is it meeting the brief? Because the events in that painting could be the result of any number of events and not climate related.
Good luck
Dave.
Thanks for good critic,
I know that i needed lens correction, but i wanted to stay tied on original plate(that was camera angle i wanted. So it was very difficult to create entire plate just by following that angle.
You noticed cars very well, i think i’ ve got it right.
You are right about tree, i will see to change that
quote “The original exposure of the sky was more real, now you have issues with the new sky against the buildings, also that grey building to the back looks out of place, the angle.”
As you can see on original plate it was over exposed(white) so i wanted to do something with it, and angle of that far away building is correct, i was following position of original plate(see first image), just replace it with another one, because it had better levels.
I will change that smoke into water, so it will be like big wave, flooding, i think that is something that addresses this contest.
Anyway thanks for good critic, i’ll see to corect those stuff you mentioned
Cheers

I wanted to keep it as clean and real as posible. Here is final image

I would like to hear some critics and comments,
Greetings

Nice image and idea.
My main issue is with the difference in contrast betwen the foreground buildings and the beige buildings behind them. There would only be a small difference in contrast because the distance between the two is just a side road, as far as i can tell. The dark outline against the faded bg building on the left stands out in particular.
Good job
