Hey, this is Zack!

I’m glad to be a part of CGSociety. My background:
I’m 15 years old, and I’ve been into CG for 3-5 years. I’ve worked on several personal projects, and one completed collaborative short film. I’m currently working on a new collaborative shortfilm, of which more details will be released later this month, hopefully.

Well it took this thread about an hour to appear, so there might be another one on the way!

I wich I started in this career when I was just 15… I could have ruled the world by now ! LOL … seriously. Great to see you here Zack

#4

Yeah, right now all the new threads and posts in these forums are going to a validation queue before appearing on the forums.

#5

Righto. That explains the slowdown.

Is there honestly a fear that the one section of this forum that members had to pay for the priviledge to post in would be defaced?

#6

Heya welcome!

We’ve fixed the validation queue problem.

Zach

I recognize you from the hash forums - I love you guitars!
Your posts there have been very intelligent and thoughtful. If you bring that same
acumen to cgtalk, we will all benefit!

Cheers

Heh, the lucky part isn’t that you started so early, it’s that you started early ‘late’…I got into 3D around 12-13, and ‘computer graphics’ a few years before that, but way back then state of the art for home machines was chrome balls and checkerboards, which was an amazing step up from telling the logo turtle where to move…it was all rocks and twigs. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, crotchety old man musings aside, welcome and enjoy the times.

welcome to buddy:)

10 years when you started ? Damn, my CG experience at that age was spending 1 hour in line at the PacMan machine in the Arcade hall. Old mofo aren’t I ?

Great to see the youngsters joining in. When us oldies retire, you can take care of us

(Will there ever be retirement home’s for CG artist you think ? :hmm: )
