Here I am..but no rocking you like a hurricane

Do you know me? Often, when I travel, people don’t recognize me. That’s why I carry this, the CGSociety badge.

Really though, just me, 30-something, crotchety as a 60-something, movie nut, ostensibly “3D guy” but lately doing an equal if not greater amount of compositing and motion graphics.

For those who may distantly remember, I used to be a whirlwind in the WIP forums back in the day, and most of the time hopefully constructive, but since then piles of work have sort of pushed me back into the General/News area and skimming the rest. One of these days I’ll get some actual art up in here that’s either up to the standard, or all mine enough to be able to show to the public.

I’ve perhaps finally learned to stop starting and dropping out of challenges, but other than that I hope to be able to contribute more to the place somehow, aside from the usual encyclopedic length posts that are the twisted fruits of my mental process.

Ha! I still haven’t learned to pull out of a challenge I know I have no time to complete!

We LIKE the twisted fruits of your mental processes!

Come back to the DSG...we miss you... you're missing great avatar wars!

What’s a hypercube?

A cube with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)?

#5

No, it’s one level above a regular cube-- like hyperopia… hypercube…
I like your interpretation though, marlon. Well, hypercube, which is it to be?

#6

hahaha…well yes I -am- kind of a big square with ADHD at that eh?

I like both ideas…I think I’ll stick with the ironic one though, being a 4th dimensional object, the one thing I’m always short on is time, or the 4th dimension :stuck_out_tongue:

oh and yes the challenges are endlessly seductive, can’t help it…I am however keeping all the stuff I started for them since I really liked a lot of it and want to finish it…so one of these days I’ll creep back into the WIP forum with them when least expected, much like the spanish inquisition. (“Diabolical ACTING! Diabolical MODELING!”)

As for the DSG, I could never keep up with you guys, I need to work on my 2D a huuuge amount, but don’t want to subject you all to that either…heh. Besides, avatar wars would look rather strange with a big metal brick in the middle of 'em
