Help with UV mapping a complex object


Hello everyone, I hope Its okay to post this kind of post but I need technical help in maya.
I’ve created a gate that eventually I want to animate it to open.
I’ve modeled it and now I want to texture it.

how do I UV map this correctly? every part of the object is a polygon and its not connect.

I hope this was the right forum for this kind of stupid question but I hope I could get help from you guys. thank you!


There are tons of Youtube videos for that and Maya learning channel, you could start there.
