help with two levels of reflection

Hello, quick question, i simply can’t wrap my head around the shader tree.
How do I achieve two layers of reflection, it simply refuses to do what it should do.
One layer is black, somewhat reflective and with extremely blurry reflections
The other layer visible at glancing angles, very reflective and sharp reflections.

I need two materials, not the clearcoat value, I need them to be controlled by a gradient.

For some obscure reason it doesn’t work. Even if I manage to apply a gradient to the upper layer, all the reflections are blurry, even with the different settings.

Testing the layer only with colors works well, the problem is always with reflections.

You need to layer “shaders” and not just adding two materials together.

I’ve attached a scene file that shows how to do this.
