Check out Full Sail University located in Orlando, FL.
You can find more about this school in my blog www.animationcrush.com
I am studying computer animation. Only have 5 months left till graduation.
I wrote first several posts in this blog about my experience at school and how to choose a school in general. You might find some useful tips there. I hope it helps.
p.s. Full Sail is pricy, but so far I feel that I am learning a TON of information and feel that I will be ready for a real job once I graduate.

I would definitely add School of Visual Arts to the list and Pratt Institute too particularly for graduate studies. Sheridan should be added to the list too. As for CMU, I don’t think they have an undergrad major in animation. They do, however, have a Masters in entertainment technology though.

Also, this list is for animation in general. Some of these school only offer undergraduate degrees. Also, some schools have strong programs in game design such as Digipen, which wasn’t mentioned here.
