Help with high-poly modelling in 3ds max


Hello, I’ve been busy mastering high-poly modelling in 3ds max for a while. But I always seem to bump into the same problem over and over again…

I have this model I’m working on, the shape is pretty smooth, but the corners aren’t.

So when I try to make the corners a bit sharper by adding control edges, the “smoothness” of the main shape breaks.

So my question is, how do I make those corners sharp enough, while keeping the main shape smooth as it is in the first picture?
