Help with 3DS Max animating liquid in pipe

#1

If you know a better way of animating liquid in a pipe can you let me know. I’m using a superspray particle system inside a pipe using MetaParticles and a UDeflector on the pipe so it doesn’t go through it. I then added a slight gravity pull to keep the particles flowing at the bottom of the pipe. Two big problems I’m facing is that if I enlarge the size of the MetaParticles you can see them going through the wall of the pipe so I have to keep them small thus increasing the rendering time a lot! Is there a way to bake the particle animation? If you know a better way to animate this can you let me know thank you!

You can bake particles using the cache operator in particle view. I’m not sure this is possible without using the particle view (press 6 on keyboard), but it is alot more indepth and gives you alot more control than creating a particle system from create panel.
