Hi I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the bios settings needed to get the most performance out of my rig:
Tyan S8225
2x Opty 4284 cpus
32GB PC3-10600 Udimm ECC memory
GTX480
I have been tweaking on and off for a few weeks now and cannot seem to get the memory speeds upto what they should be…At full speed my memory should be running at 800mhz but its currently slowed to 533mhz…Im not sure if there is a bios setting I have missed or some other setting im not aware of.
Generally I feel the system isnt as responsive as it should be and have slowly been replacing parts that I though were casuing the random slow downs i.e older harddrives, graphics card etc…
Im now looking into why the mem is running slower than its stock speed… The bios on this system are quite confusing to be honest…There are alot of settings that seem to be tied to power saving ( Pstatss, C states etc) which have all been disabled but im just really asking to see if there is some kind of setup for this type of rig that are known to run it at its max capability for rendering and graphics performance based on the hardware setup I have…
