help in finding the best perspective!

#1

hi there. i have this image in mind i’m going to create in cg, but i’m not yet sure on which perpective i should work with. i am going to put a character on top of something like a very high pillar, like 30 meters above the ground, and below him a huge aztek like florest and some aztec like constructions around.

in this image i need to portray power( he is a powerful character), but at the same time, portray the danger he is in(althought he doesnt feel anything worried about it) since he is 30 feet above the ground on a very small surface.

here are the perspectives i’ve came up with

perspective1

perspective2

and finally, perspective 3

perspective 1 shows him in a very powerful way, thats for sure, but we lose the sense of height. in the 2nd & third one we are more like in a bird-eye, with him looking at us, where we can see the danger he is in. thought i’m not very sure weather he looks powerful or not in those 2.

if u guys are willing to, please lend me an hand on this

thanks

I like 3 the most. It’s the most dynamic of the three, but 2 could also work, as long as you convey the distance of the stuff on the ground, maybe with atmospheric perspective (fading contrast/saturation as things get further).

I agree… Three is very neat.

one question, does your person have to be facing the camera? If you could do a perspective shot like three…only turn it so you get a 3\4 view from behind that might be cool! ( :argh: )

thanx for the repplies

3 is also my favorite one, and the one i believe it is the best to work on.

utchamp- i believe so, yes. i think it looks cooler if he is looking at us. in that way we can see his determined eyes.
