Help!Geo breaks when select controller and scrub through timeline.

#1

I’m using Autodesk Maya 2015
So I made a 3D penguin from scratch. Rigged it, animated it, rendered the animation. Saved and went on to the next model. Yesterday, I returned to it to refine the animation and do another render. Well… every time I select a controller and then scrub through the timeline, the geo distorts and stretches. I’d like to mention that the legacy viewports do not show the “broken” geo. However, legacy tends to give me more problems and viewport lag then I care for, so I never use it. When I render it with the geo messed up, it does not render the bad geo. It renders as if it isn’t doing this. I figured it was bad memory messing the vertices up. So I restarted Maya, didn’t work. Restarted computer, didn’t work. I’m kind of at a loss on what this is and how to fix it. Thanks.

I don’t think there’s a solution to this problem, sometimes Viewport 2.0 does this and in my experience it’s because the mesh has modelling errors such as non-manifold geometry.
