Hello from Athens - Dimitris Liatsos

Hello , i thought i post here to introduce …err…me to the Society.

I am 3D modeler / Animator the last 8 years (before that i was a Physics Science Teacher)…not i am not drunk…i mean it.

I mostly work on TV spots 'cuase there isn’t any real game industry in Greece , but that’s my dream anyway …to work in game or for the big screen someday…

I have started after the GSO challenge to work the idea i made for the image posted as a short film and i am working on that as much as i can so i can finish this until the end of 2006.

I am trying to see how many members are from Greece in here so we can start our Chapter too…

Basic moto in my life is …always have fun.

I’m as much Greek as a Greek can be, but a bit far away from Athens to belong to your chapter there! (Well, just around 10-11 hours by airplane)
There are game companies in Greece you know. I worked for one! But untill one makes good money to pay for many professionals, to make a good competitive product that can stand on the same shelf as the rest titles from EA (and subsidiary studios) chances are you won’t like it much, neither the quality of work, or the money you are getting paid.
But hey, you are in Greece now, and you are one of the most talented pros i know there, so i don’t doubt you could stir things up and even maybe create a whole new animation market, where others have failed!

Hey Dennik…man…i really miss your works…but the good thing is that i learn u are in some very good new projects there.

Here …arghh …i am trying to explain first to the clients what is the difference between 3d and 2d first and then maybe…just maybe they try to make a 3d approach to their subject…ahhahaahhaah…

But…what the heck…i can still stand it…thanks God i still find interesting work through clients who work through Internet…( i have to go to DUBAI after Summer…:D).

Finishing today layers renders MDN67 …i just need to rest a bit and tommorow night i will start postingthe final steps…i just want to be a bit relaxed when i work with MS again…:slight_smile:
