i have downloaded the file but i cant open it i got 3dsmax 8 + vray 1.5 please. any help
i’ve downloaded 3ds max9 but can i ask why the reflect map isnot white and black
and when i render from a big distance the eyes look very white
sorry the problem was from bad hdri…thanks man this is great …can iask why there is vray lights

can you help me with those weird seams going on in the render ? All my maps are seamless,but I dont know whats causing the blurry glitches[in the middle of the chest,abs,on the thigh;and seams over the shoulder]…could it be the translucency map ?[I made the map realquick by blurringoff my bumpmap]:hmm:
EDIT: Problem fixed,the Diffuse map was offset by 0.01 in the material,I changed it to 0 and its all good now,I’m HAPPY as a Puppy :bounce::

hehe salut marc! genial ton shader! jvoulais juste savoir quelques petit trucs, par exemple, quece que ton shader a de plus sur le fast sss de vray? il marche tres bien mais je vois que tu utilise juste le material de vray et non le SSS , et aussi savoir comment le sub/multi object que tu utilise pour le fond de la bouche est appliqué pour que la zone noir soit affecté a la bouche est pas au reste, merci de ta reponse et continue ton bon travail!

why not ? 
i made it purple, but it depend of the tone shading you want for your final render of your skin. it cool be yellow, red, blue or any other color you want. but yes it’s to purple for this one.

Excellent shader by the way.
I tried a few different colours for the reflection map, some worked some didn’t.
I rendered out a 100 frame revolve of the head, it flickered alot! I think this is down to the noise map…any suggestions to fix this?
I am getting a bit confused by what your maps are exactly contributing, can you describe each map for us, and say what it does? I wanted to try and make the skin look more shiny and sweaty, but not sure where to start?
One more question, because I am learning, Why have you not got a typical ‘spec’ map eg. A hard black and white map extra white around the nose, lips, eyes and forehead?

hey I love that skin mine is nearly there but takes forever to render, do you have a copy of that file that will work in max 8. or maybe just the vray mat? looks great. I think i could get a good few tips from it.
