#65

Cimer KyK ! i am a big fan of your work !

some hair test ( scanline render this time…). who know how to render the hair shadows in another pass ?
the mesh is not smoothed, so the bump is not correct.

#66

The last render is looking pretty close to real, but the ears are looking messed up… 3d wise.

#67

Thank you Kickflipkid687 . you are right with the ears. i will correct it .

new update with better skin render… i think…hope

#68

fur update…
fake dof for the moment.

.

#69

Wow… thats looking really nice now! It’s pretty darn close to photorealism. I think just the lack of detail right now in the ears and no eyebrows is making it not real, otherwise :scream: .

another hair test… it really need more work on it. i discovered that i could have better hair with the hair pass slot…but after finish this one. the mesh is not smothed ans the vray render is set to low…

thank you Kickflipkid687 ! i started to correct them

#71

excellence !
I’ll try to create something like this !
thanks for sharing.

#72

I think some of your pictures shows some of the best skin made with Vray. I think that also your modeling add to realism of the heads. How much did the Zbrush count ? You used Zbrush for all your heads model ?
Unfortunatelly , that max file on rapidshare was deleted. Can you post a new adress ? Your tutorial ?

#73

Great looking skin I would love to get this good thanks for posting but the link to the file you updoaded is not working , could you please reupload it ? as I would love to play around and see what i come up with . thanks very much

#74

posting but the link to the file you updoaded is not working

#75

Wow! Looking good man… I really like the shader - looks great. I love the little details like the fur on the skin… is it just a uniform thickness of light fur on the model to give that effect? Or did u actually paint on different thicknesses/densities throughout the face?

Well - Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more updates!
5 stars!!!*****

#76

that’s just freaking awesome :scream:
Superb work

#77

This is sorta an old thread, so I doubt it’s still being worked on.

"This is sorta an old thread, so I doubt it’s still being worked on "
Yes you have right ! i am working on a new one, with much much better quality…i hope
My new aproche will be multilayered map with linked lights. and All the map will be done by hand, no photos ( i have a new computer now…so i can play with good resolution map …yahoo ! )

So now, i can give you the COMPLETE file :

The 3dsmax Head with all the setup and Map.
done with my old pc p4…and 512ram.

preview of the direct rendering in max : what you see here is what you have in the file

And the 3dsmax file of it :
