Good luck every one!

BEST DIORAMA:
Hannes Kosina

Andrew Bachman

It was great competing in my first challenge and I had a lot of fun creating the Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger. After all the research on the vehicle, I felt it was important to show all the detail with the gadgets that the car had. You can see all of them animated in the turnaround. With all the modeling, animation, and texturing, I spent around a month in total to create this piece. Hope you all enjoy!

I chose to create the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo. I wanted to try and evoke a spooky sense just like it’s from a scene in the series.

Here’s my entry of the John Deere 110 Mower that was used in Mad Men to create havoc at the office. I’ve added a part of that office for the scenic render, which includes the bloody aftermath of the mower running over someone’s foot.

Comments:

Hi, I am just a weekend hobbyist that has been playing in Blender about 2 years in my limited free time. I Used Blender and Paint.Net in my model and used one asset from Deviant Art for the wood texture, wood planks - D632 by AGF81.

I have learned much, got further than I ever imagined I would, but ran out of free time the last three weeks. It has been fun, challenging and I plan to continue work on the model.

I have also determined I need to learn how the HDRI backgrounds work and how wireframes work and how to do those nice pretty ambient occlusion pictures.

Great work everyone and well wishes to all in the challenge.

COMMENTS & DESCRIPTION

Firstly sorry for the bad quality of hirez images it seems like a huge compression apply after upload.

This was a very interesting challenge and it was really good to practice things I can’t do at work, I’ve learned a lot about hard surface modeling that I haven’t really practice since many years.
Sadly I’ve lost my last two weeks working on a character I can’t include in the renders.
I have to learn about rendering huge scenes now (72 millions polys) and about hair modeling.

However I’m very happy with the result on the vehicle and very honored to enter this challenge among such awesome entries.

So good luck everyone and well done.

Arthur

Hi,

This is my final finish to the tank. Unfortunately I didn’t get the time over the weekend to alter some changes to the textures of the model, but nonetheless I have learnt a lot and it’s been a pleasure to take part in the challenge :)!

Good luck everybody!

Hello, my name is Sajid, but everyone calls me Saj.

Beauty Render.

Wireframe Oon.

W.I.P. Thread http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=208&t=1313235

This is Drill Sgt. from Jayce and the wheeled warriors, my favorite vehicle from the series, I did some sort of a re-conceptualization so is not exactly as you may remember, same thing happened to Oon, it sure was fun to enter the challenge as I have nerver participated before.

Modeling and texturing was done in 3Ds Max and final retouches in Photoshop. The model is 6,668,874 polys, the main body has a NURMS subdivision level 3, and the rest is level 2.

The desert mountain background is property of http://humblebeez.deviantart.com/

Best of luck to you all !!
