This was a really interesting challenge and I had a lot of fun creating this model

& Description
The Idea behind this one is that Luigi is having a really hard time dealing with not being included in the Super Mario Bros game after sharing the spotlight in the original Mario Bros.
And the fact that Mario got the girl of his dreams while Luigi got nothing /sadface

Comments & Description:
This is the first challenge I have entered and it has been great fun, it has brought back some great gaming memories, especially doing the research. I thought it would be hard at first to narrow down which game to go for, but when I remembered how great the game Rocket Knight Adventures was I new Sparkster would be the character to do.
I wanted to update him a bit, make him look a bit older and to have adapted his armour a bit. My initial idea was to keep him still a bit cartoony and similar proportions, but as I progressed I thought it looked better making his proportions a bit more animal/human, I also ended up adding more detail than I had originally planned. The armour even took on a more samurai look, which I thought fitted would be a great homage to the games Japanese creators Konami.

The Models base elements were created in 3D max and were then further sculpted in Zbrush.

I started from dynamesh sphere, made basic structure, retopology in Zbrush and then more sculpting. I’ve also polypainted the model, but the polypaint still isn’t detailed enough so I decided to go with basic shading for renders in Zbrush.

Great challenge with many great models and ideas! I really like the idea and scene done by Gudjon Agnarsson - Luigi. Great interpretation of the story :).

Comments & Description!

I wanted to create a cinematic scene I came up with where you see an Invader ship still in the mothership hangar, just about to have its pilots entering, leaving their kid invader behind. From the view I also wanted to show the typical rows and rows of Invader ship fighting the cannon protecting planet earth. I wanted to try to create a scene where the viewer would feel almost sorry for the Invaders, being thrown into war against the mighty cannon. I wanted to stay true to the original Invader symbol and based my model from the silhouette of the Invader ships.

I also want to turn this into a short animation where this brave ship first joints the rows and rows of Invaders, to then realize that this back and forth tactic isn’t working and breaks formation and lead the ships onto victory!

Obviously, I didn’t really achieve this in this time.

Well, taking on a big project like this in a short amount of time is crazy and very likely to not succeed. I knew I had less than a week and other things happening at the time, but I still didn’t want to scale down my idea. I had great ambitions and I hope I will finish this later on because I still like the idea.

First time I join something like this, and it was great to play around and develop an idea. Just hope I’ll do it in time and not join the last week for the next one

Title: Final Fight

When I was a kid I played a lot this game in the arcades with my friends. Cody was my main choice character. So for this work I tried to give a new vision for this game with a lot more detail and objects. I would love to see a new version of this game, the style of the characters are unique.

For this project I believe I spent more or less 20 hours of work. I always like to put bones in my characters, because I can test them in a lot different poses and I also can make final adjustments in the proportions. I really love to play with the model.

I used 3Ds Max and Photoshop for color corrections.
