HCR MINI-Challenge #46 : Movie Wheels Tribute - The War Rig

#1

My choice is The War Rig from Mad Max Fury Road.
I hope I can finish in time, because I can work on it mostly at night. I will try make a mix between the truck from the movie, and the concept from Mad Max 2.
Good luck to all.

Ambitious project and great start! Loving the amount of detail you are putting in, I just hope you can keep that up to create a finished truck in time :slight_smile: Good luck!

simonjaap -> Thank’s.

fr33sty13 -> Thank’s for reply. Well, first I use a winding generator compound in Softimage ICE, later send to Maya, and used a bend deformer, and for the holes it’s a very simple workflow:

Ah awesome! Sucks they’re discontinuing a great software. Looking great so far keen to see it finished!

#11

Oh Softimage! lol Nice tuto!

#12

Yes, Softimage has always been my favorite tool, but now Autodesk forced me to learn Maya. Although Maya 2016 have good modeling tools, still lack for agility, organization and unification between tools, hypershade it’s a mess, there is no communication between nParticles with Bifrost… and the most important, nothing similar to ICE.

Anyway, engine modeling:

#13

More progress, still adjusting some pieces, proportions, spaces.
