Here is a tutorial I’ve followed and referenced many times when modeling a head. The tutorial uses blender, but the techniqes are universal.

Seeing as how many of us use ZBrush in these challenges it looks perfect. I’m off to try out decimation master now.
This is a very interesting, if long and epic, tutorial on edgeloops. Hope it’s helpful.
