HCR MINI-Challenge #19: 80's Cartoons

#41

Aw man!! I’m gonna do one of The Centurions… bad aaaazzzzz

#42

OMG I am soo in this one!

Problem is picking which show to do!

iliketrees YES! That was also my favorite show as a kid.

Hmmm… but which do I really want to choose? So many magical shows to pick from

#43

So I see 80’s and cartoon… I’m in.

Robotech was the cartoon that changed my life and led me to study traditional animation in the first place. Veritechs have been done to death and are basically considered Transformers anyway, Alphas and Betas much the same - so I will to do a Cyclone from ‘New Generation’ as I haven’t seen a realistic one of those yet.

There has been a ‘Masterpiece’ toy recently released as well as a few more basic toys so I would like to do a hybrid reinterpritation of those.

#44

Oh man - 80’s cartoons are my weak spot, so many to choose from  Got to added Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors to that list though :stuck_out_tongue:

I am surprised no one has mentioned C.o.p.s., that was a pretty good show. I as thinking of modeling Big Boss or Dr. Bad Vibes.

This is gonna be fun!

#49

Sweet theme, Roberto, wish I got the time and the 3D skills, I´ve been trying to get my hands on She-Ra for ages.

#53

For so long I always sit back and watch what some of you guys do with these competitions.
Because of work and family commitments I never really get to spend much time on my own projects but this one is too much to pass up.
The 80’s had the best cartoons, hands down!
I may not finish in time guys but will participate.

#54

Hey this is really cool! Always wanted to do bravestarr:P.

#55

This is by far the coolest HCR theme to this date. I can’t wait to see how muscular He Man and Skeletor become with the aid of the sculpting softwares. They may not fit inside my screen with their awesomeness.

#56

AWESOME!!! this is going to be lots of fun!!!

you got that right. that’s the first thing that came to mind when i saw the post. and like someone said before, the 80’s had some of the best cartoons.

#58

Considering how popular they were,
I am not surprised that
there is not a sinle The Raccoons entry…

#59

Quick question…I know it says all models must be done from scratch, but can we use something like a default zbrush model (ie: super regular man) as a jumping off point?

#60

I am sorry but no.
All models have to be done from scratch.
(that is one of our CORE rules)

BTW I am surprise no one has done
the Disney Gummy Gears
