HCR#46 : Ecto-1

#1

Hi Guys !

For this challenge, I will try to do the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters

As I am an amateur, I still learn and I hope present to you a good result :arteest:

#2

Love that choice. If you need any help with the reference you can check my old thread.
I never finished but it has some good info on the body.

Ecto-1

#3

Thanks a lot Wyatt !

For sure, the work you had done for this car was very promising.
I’m not sure if I will be able to do a work as qualitative than yours, but I will try to do my best.

Thanks for your reference images, some hood shapes and curves are now clearer for me.

#4

Yah I remeber it was a really good start. Why dont you finish it some day Wyatt.

#5

No problem. Yeah, some of those shapes are really tricky.
Topping me should be easy, simply finish.

Just don’t have the time like I used to. I’ve created several more unfinished projects since this one. :argh:

#6

Hi all,

A little WIP

#7

Oh my! There’s a big distortion in your picture! lol You should try to fix that. Hard to judge with that

#8

Yes :hmm: Thanks Scote, you right, too much distortion !

I hope the following image will be better ? Maybe too much bright…

#9

Yah too much brightness that burn your white.

If you are not comfortable with the lights rig. For now you should stay with a simple Lightrig based on a HDRI of a studio setup.

#10

Thanks for the advice, I finally find a correct lightning for my preview, but, as I was not happy with some shapes in my model, I start again from the begining…

I hope being able to achieve something before the deadline

#11

Here, a little wip after my restart… :hmm:

#12

Hello,

Below, a little progression

#13

Hehe, all those little details.
It coming along, keep at it.

#14

Hi Wyatt,

Yes, too much details on this car

I think I should not be able to finish it until the deadline…
