I’m currently developing a character and I’ve reached the rigging stage. When I was still creating the bone structure I was following these tutorials (and still am, for the rig):

After creating the left leg and arm bone structures, I used the bone mirror tool to mirror the two bone structures. After wards, following the tutorial videos 5 and 7, I flipped the the pivot orientation on the right arm and leg structure in order to coincide with it’s left counterpart, but I got this:

I didn’t pay much attention to it until now because the bones were moving properly when I was skinning them to the model, but when I started rigging, the mirrored bones would act out every time I moved the controls. This morning I decided to redo the mirrored bones manually, but when I reoriented them the problem reappeared. So I guess the problem lies in the reorientation of the bones…I’m completely at a loss here and my work has already been delayed for a couple of weeks due to this, and other, problems. I require your assistance CGTalk.
