Having a tough time with a camera track

#1

Hey everyone!

I’ve been trying for almost a day and half to get a decent camera track in Nuke out of a 2 second shot. I thought it would be easier but I am all out of ideas on how to tackle it.

I have uploaded it to vimeo in the following link:
https://vimeo.com/110570575

Use password: trackhelp

If you want to give it a go let me know and I will pm you a link to the hi-res footage

The reason why i need the 3d camera for this shot is to replace the signs on the top right and to remove the person and stick behind the glass door on the left.

Any ideas or tips would be of huge help!

Thanks!

Alex

Vimeo is not asking me for a password when i want to access that link. Just that there is no video (already deleted?).
Anyway, 2 secs sounds like very little time. Thus, there just might not be enough information for the camera tracker to go on. 50 frames is really not much, and depending on the parallax in the shot, it may just be too short.

Hi Daniel,

That’s a good point you make about the 50 frames. I removed the video because I ended up solving it in a different way. The track I got was not great but I used it anyways and distorted the geometry to fake it. Funny enough it looks flawless. Thanks for the input though.
