HASP not found?!?!

#1

Hi all,

I get a “Hasp not found” message sometimes, I think after a while of inactivity. I click on the OK and can carry on working as usual. Just wondering if my dongle is on it’s way out or if this is normal if you leave your computer for a while. I would hate to have it break down at a an inopportune moment.

Anyone else get this???

Sounds normal , I get the same , adds a lot of emotion, excitement, risk and adrenaline to the job, is just like mountain climbing.

#3

Interesting…I’ve never had that with either of my seats of messiah

Whenever my notebook wakes up from stand-by mode, I get the same. So I guess it’s normal.

#5

I have never had that happen. Is it specific to laptops?

#6

Possibly, I can’t recall that happening with my desktop computer.

#7

I’m on a workstation. Happens without fail if I leave the computer unattended for a while. Might it be screen saver related or energy star (turn off hard disks after 1 hour inactivity?).

#8

My laptop does the same thing. I usually switch the dongle to a new port and say Okay and everything is fine. This happens to me a lot so I just switch back and forth from port to port.

Aha! Yes, my dongle is actually plugged into my monitor - I’m guessing, when it powers down after inactivity, it powers down the USB’s aswell? That would explain it.

Is that possible?

DMack - yeah. That happens. My mouse turns off that way on the dual monitor set up at work. (Not very clever of me  )

#11

Just how long are you staring…motionless…infront of your screen?

:scream:

#12

My record to date is 4 hours 13 minutes.

Where can I buy the video? - Sounds like it would be a seriously interesting watch!

:applause:
