"HARDWIRED" [CG ANIMATED MOVIE PROJECT]

#21

Hey kid mesh i believe that Lightwave supports FBX as does Maya and MAX, they all support that format, has anyone thought of putting this in their pipeline.

They all, also do BVH for animation and such. So you may go that route. FBX can be used between each other, and if you have motionbuilder, every animator should, you are in luck!!!

Hey Flog thanks for bringing that up although I was aware of it. The only reason why I didnt mention it was because Im the 3rd wheel metaphorically speaking.

But for now I will help out with regular modeling

Well I dont know if anyone else decided to give the Computer lab a try but if you do that would be great so we can take the best of each model and complete it that way or I dont mind completing it all :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway here are a few WIP shots…

Just started the chair.

Wow ,this is really looking good.
Im gonna have my hand at some rough sketches for some other stuff ,im not a good 2d artist ,i can barely draw ,but you guys might get the idea! i Also if needed have an actual friend who is an incredible guy at drawing ,and he usualy halps me with projects ,so he will most likely halp ,Omar ,may i suggest using yahoo groups ,they dont give alot of alloted space ,but they allow for incredible communication!Kid Mesh ,the chair seems to be coming along ,your using lightwave, right? Its looking nice  One suggestion though ,you prbably already had this planned ,but maybe you could fluff the cushions a little ,they look a bit stiff

Later ,keep it up everyone!

These images are to give you an idea of the overall colour and feel of the environment.

The first video is the opening title sequence. The second is a shot of the first scene of the camera traveling through the inner workings of the secret underground factory.

FOR BEST RESULTS, RIGHT CLICK IMAGES AND SAVE TARGET AS. DIVX FORMAT

WHOA — that is…awesome.

Very cool…

For that second clip, did you make those textures by hand or are they shaders or a mix?

#33

awesome stuff, really nice, what composition app you using?:applause:

#34

wow I hope you find others to help you in this project, this is great stuff, looks like an opening to a dvd or something.

WOW!!!

#35

“Kid mesh”, The images here are based on your first model. Some suggestions I have are that the corners should be sharper to give it a more industrial feel. Try to break the chair into parts and focus on the details of each individual pieces and then assemble them. Add other fine details such as, bolts, rivets, electric cables, and glowing lights etc. Try to think heavy factory, old rusty equipment. I will look for reference images from movies like “Matrix” and “Final Fantasy”.

If you need help with anything just ask.
