puddyman: Well, generally I’m beginner myself too and I have no knowledge about rigging whatsoever. Modeling wise, I mostly read forums/how-tos/books, learned that muscle flow is very important(in Brett, Intervain’s cgtalk expression challenge entries) and then memorized every single muscle’s name in the human body. Did not really make that much difference though, still need to check refs. Did I used fully flow in this chap? No, don’t really have time for that. If something fails in the process, it’s okay, I’d learn something. I started with zsphere, it looked way way uglier than this fellow though, then sculpted more, then imported it into maya and for rough retopo.
