great, eagerly waiting to see it!
good luck
hey,
here are the latest updates, i didn’t worked on so much, just threw on to some bigger forms… the big rock is totally wip… the head is the previous head, the new one is not finished yet… the stairs are placeholders… the sea is dreamscape (just a placeholder too)… so, it require a lot of work, really ugly now, i need to hurry with it
before i forget, what is the deadline for this challenge? which day?
Hey bro,
it looks great so far,
Im looking forward for the updates, keep up the good work
cheers
suta: thank you
rocky: hey man, what’s up with you? i’ve seen your BMW at artistpub, looks great! i’m the biggest BMW fan here at the forum, so please, redo the rims and the front grills’ texture at the hood :bounce: thank you!
yep guys, a lot of time left, it makes me more sloth…
thanks
okay, i will totally repent this post because i show you this:
click for the larger… maybe the image name is : zsolt in wonderland :banghead:
i always finish what i start, so this post is a motivation for me, because i do not want to embarrass myself
worked on the argonath last night, some zbrush and retopology some parts…
and also worked on the buckleberry’s beauty shot… here is a cropped image:

no larger version, haha
i did a test render, very basic yet
what you think, is it necessary to do this black stuff? i want to do a same image like thereference image, so i’m not planning to do a composition, just a simple render… i will do composition with the argonath, especially then if Roberto let us to do 1920*1080 images, but no problem if not, but it would be easier…
The black thing would be fun but required.
And i think the size is just for the max. If you do 1080p, you’ll just have to scale it down to make the width fit within the 1600. But not sure. If you have a standing character, then this landscape formate sucks.
maybe i will do that black stuff yeah, would be a little bit nicer with it… or not…
here is a little update on the argonath… retopolized that rock part and did some texture works…
really basic textures, i can count the pen clicks on it if i really want  in max, the shading is kill it, maybe render will help…the textures will be only view depended… the original size is 2k, more than enough for the final image…
click for the larger images
long night coming…
I’d say go for the black thingy as well. If not, might feel empty without it depend on your composition.
You have got a great schedule, hope you finish them all.
Cheers pal, have fun.
Alekzsander: thank you!
BrettSinclair: thank you!
menthena: yeah, it was empty without it… i did that, and now looks better a bit… and thank you, i’m on it heavily :wip:
i worked on the argonath’s textures during the night, and finished the buckleberry’s diorama scene… calculate the necessary maps, rendering problems (mostly blue deaths), decimating meshes (also with memory errors) are very annoying, slow things, these are makes me slower :banghead:
but no problem now, rendering the final image of the buckleberry (it is f.cking slow), in 1080p
, if the 1080p problem, i will crop it, ta daa
cheers
hey,
worked on the argonath again, the models are finished, and the final image too, almost :)… haha, what an easy thing to do a still image, after short film tasks… it is 95%, maybe i will change some things with fresh eyes, after the halo models, but here is a 100% crop from it:
and started the warthog, here is the wip wheel, click for the larger pic :

because a lot of time left, maybe i will texture it too..
that's all now, i think
cheers
