I’ve already chickened out of doing this entirely within ZBrush, so I’ll fall back to using it for detailing.
It’s been 2 years since I did any character modelling, so this might be painful to watch.
I plan on doing some compositing trickery to achieve the effect of the 2 figures occupying the same space.
First things first, research. I have access to the big fat Taschen book by Zollner and I’ve taken a few snaps of other studies in proportion he was doing at the time he drew his version of the Vitruvian man. There are only a few images of the proportions of the head and face, two of which appear to be profiles of the same model for his Vitruvian man - or at least a pretty good likeness.
There is little in the way of fullbody drawings of any great detail that would be useful to this subject. I’ll have to draw upon other sources for that.
