Hey folks, I am doing a really detailed eye that will be shown in an extreme close up.
I know that Hash hair has a setting for hair thickness, but I am wondering how to get each one of my individual hairs to decrease in thickness with length.
In other words, have a base that is wide and gradually tapers down to nothing at the end of the hair.
I seem to remember this being done when simulating grass, but I cant find any tutorials.
Thanks in advance
Hair: Thickness variation on a single hair
Colin Freeman’s Cooper tutorial now has a great section on v11 hair. Here’s the link: http://www.colins-loft.net/CoopHair.html
You’ll have to scroll down a bit.
Thank you sir, but wasn’t this tutorial on displacement mapping for simulating hair?
What I need is actually a way to have individual hairs decrease in thickness at their tips.
( I tried modelling the eyelash hair, but I believe this may be to patch intensive )
Thanks
The Colin Freeman’s tutorial is updated to v.11.0.
